World | Woodkid reveals a new single with COLORSXSTUDIOS and goes on tour

After a first single that got the international media attention last April, Woodkid keeps on promoting his next album S16, set to be released on 16 October 2020. On 8 September, he chose to display another track – Pale Yellow – through a partnership with the platform COLORSXSTUDIOS.

On 1 September 2020, Yoann Lemoine (aka Woodkid) announced S16 to be released on 16 October. One week later, the artist gave a particular performance of “Pale Yellow– the album’s third track – for COLORSXSTUDIOS.

Like the first single “Goliath”, the song didn’t go unnoticed and it is now trending on YouTube France, holding the 35th position. As usual, COLORSXSTUDIOS directed a sober clip, grounded on one simple colour chosen after the song’s title : pale yellow. A mechanical dog stresses the music’s industrial dimension. The video was immediately shared abroad on Testspiel, a pop culture-based entertainment website

On 9th September 2020, Woodkid explained to Numero magazine:

The song is about the inner machine, the personal monster. It mentions the chemistry of addiction, the desire and hope for resilience and healing.”
