World | “Drivin Thru The Night”: Petit Biscuit’s latest single stands out on a global scale

On 16 August 2020, Petit Biscuit announced his future album on his social media. Almost one month later, on 9 September, he released a first single entitled “Drivin Thru The Night” with a cinematic videoclip. The promotion campaign had already played with the codes of Hollywood posters.
As a description of Petit Biscuit‘s lastest single, one can read: “First and foremost, Drivin Thru The Night is a song about freedom […] I wrote the lyrics of this song when I was in Iceland, where I had been isolated for months. I missed my loved ones, but I did not feel any pressure from anybody. And so I got this idea of those lyrics about this lonely man and his story, that is – of course – autobiographic.”
The video clip did not go unnoticed, partly because of French-Tunisian singer and model Donna Ben Ammar‘s presence. Her cameo was spotted by Arab News, that wrote an article on its website about the track and video’s making of. Readers can learn that Petit Biscuit can count on a high visibility across her community of 728 000 Instagram followers. Both artists had already worked together at Coachella 2018.
In Europe, Billboard Italy shared the piece with a simple title: “A lonely man, a mysterious woman, club vibes“. The platform – as well as American website Your EDM stresses the independent dimension of Ecurie records’ song.
On Spotify, Drivin Thru The Night stands among the first positions in 32 New Music Friday playlists. The track is number 6 in France, number 8 in Japan, number 14 in the UK and number 32 in the USA.
Petit Biscuit will promote his next album on 21st july 2021 at Splendour in the Grass, Australia.
