North America | Hamza on a Canadian and American Tour
Belgian rapper Hamza, represented by French booking company Décibels Productions, is about to go on his debut tour in North America. The tour will present songs from his latest album Paradise (Warner Music France / Rec 118), which reached 130 millions streams.
Hamza is of Moroccan origins and grew up in Brussels, Belgium. He founded his first music band Kilogramme Gang as a teenager. He then learnt to do beatmaking on software FruityLoops. Skills he later used to launch his solo project with the mixtape Recto Verso.
In 2019, he released his debut album Paradise via Rec 118 / Warner Musique France, which features fellow rappers SCH, Aya Nakamura, Oxmo Puccino and pop singer Christine and the Queens.
Internationally, Hamza did a collaboration with Beats by Dre. The US brand shared an exclusive backstage video, following Hamza to Morocco and in studio and discussing his creative process for title-track “Paradise”. The video has been premiered on lifestyle media Hypebeast and now counts more than a million views.
Hamza has also been featured in English-written media: Hot New Hip Hop gave the re-issue of Paradise a “Very Hottttt” editor rating.
Last October, his featuring with Ikaz Boy on “Bad Days” has been selected by US webzine DJ Booth in its selection of the 5 best releases of the month.
Hamza already performed abroad in London, Berlin or Seoul. He is now embarking on a 4-date tour in North America.
