Finland | French artists in the spotlight at Tampere Jazz Happening festival (Tampere – October 31 to November 3 2019)
The 38th edition of the Finnish Tampere Jazz Happening festival will feature French artists from October 31 to November 3.
Created in 1982, Tampere Jazz Happening is one of the most important festival of the international jazz scene. The festival is produced by Tampere Music Festivals, which depends on the city of Tampere, also organizer of Tampere’s biennale and Tampere vocal music festival.
This year, the festival will host more than 25 Finnish and international ensembles and will particularly honour French artists.
The evening “Spotlight on France” will present in particularly Jazz Migration winners Three Days Of Forest, Melusine, House of Echo.
French jazz will also be represented by the double bassist Joëlle Léandre, the harpist Laura Perrudin and by the violonist Theó Ceccaldi‘s ensemble, Freaks, and his trio with Manuel Hermia and Sylvain Darrifourcq.
