Jupiter & Okwess has already taken its 2019 world tour in more than 30 cities accross Europe, North & South America. The journey goes on – exploring the 5 continents.
Jupiter & Okwess produces a distinctive music aesthetic rooted in the Congolese music heritage and its contemporary influences. The band has now taken the limelight all over the world.
The band’s latest album Kin Sonic was released in 2017 on label Zamora. To accomplish this project, the band collaborated with Damon Albarn from Blur, the violinist Warren Ellis from Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds as well as Robert Del Naja aka “3D” from Massive Attack. In order to promote the album, Jupiter & Okwess went on a world tour in 2018 in more than 30 cities in Europe, North America and in South America.
The hit-song “Ekombe” was selected by the former US President Barack Obama as one of his favourite songs of 2018 – illustrating the worldwide popularity of the band.

This year, the band shares its passion and its music with fans once again. About 20 concerts will take place outside of France – in the USA, Colombia, Italy, Spain, Singapore and Tunisia.
Jupiter & Okwess, a made-in-France band performing at Singapore Grand Prix – Formula 1
The made-in-France band is taking part in Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix‘s entertainment line-up. The international even is broadcast worldwide and has attracted about 352 million viewers in 2017. Formula 1 is indeed one of the most watched sport-events in the world, following the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games.
This year, Jupiter & Okwess is performing alongside local bands and international artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Cardi B.
