USA | Chassol opens up about his collaboration with Solange
Among the guests featured on American singer Solange’s latest album is Christophe Chassol, a French artist getting more and more recognition in the USA.
Chassol had been noticed by Solange in 2007, while he opened for her concerts at New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Oakland’s Greek Theater. More recently, he performed in the USA as one of the headliners of France Rocks Music Fest organised last year in Central Park by Le Bureau Export New York.
In an interview given to Rolling Stone magazine, Chassol opens up about his collaboration with the American singer. He talks about the process of writing the album, the musical influences that can be found in it and speaks out about “harmonisation du réel”, technics he crafted for his own compositions.
Solange album’s When I Get Home is out since March, 1. It marks a new step in the successful collaboration between the two artists. The album has been critically acclaimed by the American media.
