World | Piaf ! The Show takes off for a World Tour
From January to December 2019, Piaf! The Swhow will be traveling the world, one performance at a time.
Conceived and directed by Gil Marsalla (DIRECTO PRODUCTIONS) and starring Anne Carrere, a young French performer. Piaf ! The Show premiered in 2015 as a tribute to “The Swallow of Montmartre” on the centennial of her birthday and was inspired by the award-winning movie La Vie En Rose. In two 45-minutes acts, the show narrates the rags-to-riches story of the Parisian singer’s career through her songs, complemented by a visual tapestry of previously unreleased photographs and images of famous Parisian locations of the Edith Piaf era.
Back in 2017, the highlight of the American leg of a 300 performance global tour was the special presentation at Carnegie Hall on January 6, on the 60th anniversary of Edith Piaf’s last performance at the famous venue. With a million tickets sold in more than 50 countries and acclaimed reviews worldwide Piaf ! The Show readies itself for a successful 2019.
As a logical next step, the show took off for yet another world tour that began in France in January 2019. Most fans and french-music lovers will hopefully get the chance to experience the show in their home country with more than 30 dates already booked worldwide until December of this year.
