“As an international experts gathering, jazzahead! is a true showcase for our city. It’s unique and has proved, again, that Bremen is the world’s jazz capital.”

Focus: jazzahead! 2019
To follow Poland this year – that has proven its jazz scene to be thriving – next year’s focus will be Norway. Artists such as Jan Garbarek, Arild Andersen, Jon Christensen, Nils Petter Molvaer, Jan Bang, Arve Henriksen or Mathias Eick have all played a good part in the establishment of a “Scandinavian style” of jazz.
