Major gathering of the classical music industry in the UK, with over 350 delegates drawn from orchestras both from within the UK and abroad, plus funding agencies, venues, agents, publishers and suppliers.

The 2019 ABO – Association of British Orchestras – Conference will take place in Belfast from 23 to 25 January 2019.

The conference’s theme is “Crossing borders”, it will include key topics such as Brexit, diversity and inclusion, new technology, and the relationship between managers and musicians. Keynote speakers include Sean Rainbird, Director of the National Gallery of Ireland, and writer and philosopher Sir Roger Scruton.

There will be concerts by the Ulster Orchestra, with additional musicians from orchestras across the UK and the Czech Philharmonic, and the Čhavorenge children’s choir.
